Branding and Website Design for a Horse Breeding Ranch

CHALLENGE
My client is a feisty and strong red-headed young woman. She is building her house and a ranch on her property in Idaho. Because her ranch is less than 40 acres it is considered a “ranchette”. She loved the idea of this name as it also harkens to being female. She wanted a logo to go along with her ranchette that personified her and her ranch. It is new property and the client has many ideas on what to do with it but horse-breeding is her dream.
SOLUTION
Originally the client came to me with an idea based on the idea of cattle branding. We investigated her idea and it was a strong contender for the final logo. But the flaming red-headed horse won out. It shows strength yet femininity, and since horse breeding with be her end goal for her property it was completely fitting.
The website will is currently being worked on but it will show her work on her house and ranch that she has done, documenting via blog all her efforts. It will also in the future be a place to post, advertise and sell her horses and future crops.
