CHALLENGE
The existing brand and website for WCNH was harshly contrasting black and white that didn’t convey the essence of what Lindsey does at her clinic, wellness. The logo originally was just the Cypress tree in white on a black background and it came across very gothic; not the clean and fresh feeling that you experience when clients actually walk into her clinic. As for the brand, the client wanted to keep the hand drawn tree that she herself created, I just needed to find a way to modernize it. The color palette also needed updating to accurately depict the services rendered. For the website Lindsey wanted her clients to be able to access all the services she offers, information about each service, the specialties she does that separate her from her competition in Coeur d’Alene, and for the clients to be able to schedule appointments directly from her site. The client also wanted to be able to make any simple changes herself.

SOLUTION
In order to soften her brand I chose a clean cool color palette that better reflects natural health, meditation and relaxation. A cool teal, white and grey that resonate peace and tranquility; all things her clients are in search of. Placing the logo within a circle highlights the best parts of the cypress tree graphic while eliminating the pointy roots that originally gave it that “gothic” feel, pairing it with a similar serifed typeface that she originally had and “voilá!”

This website was 100% coded by hand from scratch. It was then translated into PHP code to be made into a WordPress template and uploaded. The client had some previous experience with WordPress.com and so creating a WP website for her to then be able to edit content was the easiest choice. We then chose a plugin that allowed for scheduling online that linked to her Google Calendar.

RESULT
Since releasing the website WCNH has doubled in business. Lindsey’s current clients love the scheduling feature as do new clients. She is busier than ever and has personally said that it is due to the rebranding, which has made her more approachable and comes across as more professional; and the launching of her website, which has put her out there beyond just word-of-mouth.
